The A12 (north-bound direction only), between Hatfield Peverel and Witham will be closed for works, on a nightly basis, from Tuesday 20th August to Friday 23rd August 2024. 

The road is to be closed from 21:00hrs each night to 05:00hrs the next morning.

Due to the location of the road closure, the 71 and X71 services (towards Colchester) will be placed on diversion:

71 towards Colchester

The 71 service will divert, after serving The Duke of Wellington bus stop, via the B1019, Maypole Road-The Street-Witham Road-Blue Mills Hill, B1018, Maltings Lane and Gershwin Boulevard before returning to normal line of route on Hatfield Road. The following bus stop will not be served: Lynfield Motors

The X71 service will divert via Hatfield Peverel, B1019, Maypole Road-The Street-Witham Road-Blue Mills Hill, B1018, Maltings Lane and Gershwin Boulevard before returning to normal line of route on Hatfield Road. The following bus stop will not be served: Lynfield Motors
