South Essex Service Change from 16th April 2023
From Sunday 16th April 2023, we are making some changes to your bus networks across the county, designed to ensure we continue to meet changes in customers travels patterns and demands and deliver reliable services for our customers into the future.
Basildon Shuttle
Route B3 Basildon to Pitsea Tesco: The early morning frequency will be increased, with an additional journey on Monday to Friday leaving Pitsea Tesco at 06:40. The 06:45 Pitsea Tesco to Basildon journey will leave five minutes later at 06:50.
Route B4 Basildon to Pitsea Tesco: A revised timetable will run on all days of the week. There are no changes to the frequency of the service.
Route B5 Basildon to Pitsea Broadway: The B5 will be replaced by a change to route 22, which will follow the same route as the B5 between Pitsea Broadway and Basildon via Sandon Road, Luncies Road, Timberlog Lane and Long Riding.
Essex Bus
Route 22 Canvey Leigh Beck to Basildon: The 22 will be rerouted between Pitsea Broadway and Basildon via Sandon Road, Luncies Road, Timberlog Lane and Long Riding, replacing route B5. The 22 will start earlier and run later into the evening than it currently does, replacing the B5 as far as Pitsea Broadway at similar times to now.
Route 27 Southend to Canvey Leigh Beck: The Monday to Friday evening peak journeys between Benfleet Station and Canvey Leigh Beck will run to revised times, which when combined with changes to route 22, provide improved connections with the trains arriving at Benfleet Station.
Route 28 Southend to Basildon: The frequency of route 28 will be increased to every 10 minutes on Monday to Friday, and every 12 minutes on Saturdays. There are no changes to the Sunday timetable.
All other services are unchanged.
