£2 Single Bus Fare Cap From Jan to June 2023

The government is providing funding to cap single adult bus fares to £2 per journey from January to June 2023.

The flat rate cap will only apply to most single journeys within our Essex network. Single tickets can be purchased via First Bus App or on bus, payable by cash or contactless including Tap & Cap fares (no tap is greater than £2.00). For more info, please click here.

The fare cap does not apply to the following bus services: 16A, 17, 525, 561, 570, 620, 625, 633 & 725.
