Mid Essex Service Change from 16th April 2023
From Sunday 16th April 2023, we are making some changes to your bus networks across the county, designed to ensure we continue to meet changes in customers travels patterns and demands and deliver reliable services for our customers into the future.
Chelmsford Shuttles
Route C2 Chelmsford to Broomfield Hospital via North Melbourne: A revised timetable will run on Monday to Friday and Saturday, with changes to the daytime timetable. The frequency of the service is revised to run to North Melbourne every 15 minutes and to Broomfield Hospital every 30 minutes. The times of the buses during the Monday to Friday peak periods and in the evenings and on Sundays are unchanged.
Route C7 Chelmsford to Great Baddow: An additional journey will run on Sunday, leaving Galleywood West Lawn at 07:59.
Route C10 Chelmsford to Beaulieu & Channels: A revised timetable will run on Monday to Friday, to improve the punctuality of the service at peak times. There are no changes to the Saturday and Sunday timetables.
Essex Bus
Route 70, 370, X70 Chelmsford to Colchester via Braintree: A revised timetable will run on Monday to Friday, to improve the punctuality of the service during the morning and afternoon peak times. A new route X70 journey will run, with one journey in each direction. There are no changes to the Saturday or Sunday timetables.
Route 71, 371, X71 Chelmsford to Colchester via Witham: A revised timetable will run on Monday to Friday and Saturday, to improve the punctuality of the service. On Monday to Friday, the times of buses at peak times are revised to improve the punctuality of the service, whilst during the daytime the existing route 71 journeys are replaced by route X71 journeys which extend through to Colchester to provide a two buses per hour service between Chelmsford, Chelmer Village, Witham and Colchester. There are minor revisions to the timetable on a Saturday, with an additional route X71 journey in each direction.
Essex Airlink
Route X30 Southend to Stansted Airport via Chelmsford: A revised timetable will run on Monday to Friday and Saturday, to improve the punctuality of the service, with some journeys leaving their starting point a few minutes earlier than they currently do. On Monday to Friday, an additional journey will run between Southend, Chelmsford and Stansted Airport, leaving Southend at 06:20. On Saturday, most journeys during the daytime will leave Southend earlier than at present to allow more time to complete the journey.
All other services are unchanged.
