X4 Bus Service - Road Closure Notice

Due to a road closure on Southampton Road, J & J Junction M275 from 26th January to 16th March, the X4 evening service (9:00 PM - 5:00 AM) will be diverted.

The service will reroute via Allaway Avenue, Southampton Rd, and A3 (Both Directions) after Porchester Precinct and will not serve the following stops:

East Street
Mother Kelly’s
Shorehaven
Watersedge
Racecourse Lane

The service will resume at Rudmore Roundabout.

Please note the first works take place between 26th Jan – 30th Jan. Route will run as normal between 1st Feb up until 6th Feb.

On certain days, the closure may be lifted, and services will operate as normal. Please check our website and social media channels for the latest updates.

Portsmouth Golf Course (NE) & (SW) bus stop suspended.

2100 – 0500 each night.

Due to the overnight closure of Southampton Road between Portchester and Watersedge Road (M275 Junction), route X4 will be on diversion.
Passengers are advised to use the alternative stops at either:

Portchester Precinct or Clacton Road (in Allaway Avenue)

This diversion will affect the services in both directions.

Diverting via Queen Street, Alfred Road / Marketway, Anglesea Road, King Richard I Road, Cambridge Road, Museum Road and onto normal route.

Diverting via Cambridge Road, Anglesey Road, Queen Street, The Hard and onto normal route.

Due to a short notice closure of Clayhall Road at the junction of Anglesey Road, route 11 will be diverted via: Fort Road, Monkton Road returning to normal route at Clayhall Road.

This diversion will be for both directions.

The stops at Marks‘s Road and Clayhall Cemetery will not be served during these works.

Alternative stops are located at Alverstoke Village, or Clayhall Road (Junction of Gilckicker Road)

Due to the closure of Blackbrook Road, the following diversion will be in effect.

Route F1 towards Thorni Avenue will divert via:
From Fareham Railway Station, A27 to Catisfield Road, Highlands Road. returning to normal route from Hillson Drive.

The stops at: Gudge Heath Lane, Craigbank Court and Blackbrook Road, Margarita Road, Anjou Crescent, Abbotts Way, and Highlands Road will not be able to be served.

Route F1 towards Fareham will divert via:
From Hillson Drive, Highlands Road , Catsifield Road, A27 to Fareham Railway Station.

The stops at: Highlands Road, Abbotts Way, Anjou Crescent, Margarita Road, Blackbrook Road, and Craigbank Court will not be able to be served.

Alternative stops are located at either:
Fareham Railway Station or Hillson Drive.

Customers planning to board from Blackbrook Road should head over to and board from Fareham Park Road or Gudge Heath Lane.

Service F1 - Blackbrook Road closure

Due to a road closure on Blackbrook Road, Fareham, services are diverted.

27/01 – 03/02 between 0730 – 1700 each day

Services affected: F1

Diversions as follows:

Towards Thorni Aveune:
From Gudge Heath Lane and will not turn onto Blackbrook road but instead continue along Gudge Heath Lane, Highlands road and Fareham Park Road.

Passengers using Blackbrook road are advised to use Fareham Park Road or Gudge Heath Lane to board.

Towards Fareham Bus Station:
From Fareham Park Road and will not turn onto Highlands, instead will turn on to Highlands Road then onto Gudge Heath Lane and Blackbrook Road junction.
