THESE WORKS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THE 30 SEPTEMBER 2022
On Thursday 8 September 2022 a water main burst in Pembroke Road. The road works are expected to last up to two weeks. Service 25 will divert away from this area via Museum Road and Bellevue Terrace in both directions.

On Monday 22nd July The Hard bus station will be closed for major road works. These works are expected to last six months. All First Bus services will arrive and depart from Stand L out on the main road in front of the dockyard gates. The bus station building and our travel shop will remain open. You can still buy First Bus tickets and National Express from the travel shop. Staff will be on hand to direct you to your bus or coach.

Grove Road, Gosport
On Monday the 22nd July and from the 24th July to 7th August Grove Road will be closed to all traffic. Service E1 will divert away from this area via Albermarle Avenue, Melville Road and San diago Road in both directions. Temporary stops will be in place on Albermarle Avenue near the junction of Reeds Road for any one who wants to walk through. Alternatively the other nearest stops are at Ham Lane or the Glencoe. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and this road will open as soon as these works are complete. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.

Due to roadworks at the junction of Thames Drive, route 20 will be diverting via:
Highlands Road and Kiln Road in both directions.
Passengers are advised to use the alternative stops at either the Working Man’s Club on Highlands Road or St Francis on Funtley Hill.
This diversion will be in place until the works have been completed and safe access in and out of Thames Drive is restored.

Unicorn Road, Portsmouth
Unicorn Road will be closed OVERNIGHT ONLY between 8 pm and 6 am on the 17th,18th,19th, 22nd,& 23rd July. Services 3, x4, 7 & 8 will divert away from this area as follows:- Services 3 & 7 towards the City will divert away from Lake Road via Holbrook Road, Arundel Street & Station Street - missing out Cornmill Street stop. Services 3, 7, 8 & X4 out of the City will use the bus stop in Commercial Road South outside CEX then divert via Station Street, Arundel Street and Holbrook Road and will serve Commercial Road North, then back on normal route.
Southsea Food Festival, Palmerston Road.
The Annual food festival in Southsea will take place over the weekend of 19th - 22nd July. Palmerston Road will be closed to all traffic from noon on the 19th, right through to noon on the 22nd. Service 3 will divert via Portland Road, Osborne Road (Queens Hotel) Clarence Parade, South Parade & South Parade Pier, in both directions. Please use alternative stops at St Judes Church or Queens Hotel. The bus stops at South Parade Pier remain ope. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during this event. For services too and from the event please use the Service 3 which runs up to every 10 minutes.
Timetable and route change to service 28/28A from 1 July 2024
From Monday 1 July 2024, First Solent service 28/28A will no longer operate between Whiteley and Botley, with the service now terminating at North Whiteley, Skipper Way. There is no change to the route between Fareham and Whiteley. A new timetable will be introduced on the same day.

Changes to services X4 and X5 from Sunday 26 May
From Sunday 26 May 2024, we will be changing the way our current X4/X5 services operate across the network, including the introduction of a service 5, operating between Gosport and Fareham.
All services will have an introduction of a new timetable. You can view the timetables here: Timetables | First Bus

The route section on service X5, which currently operates between Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Stubbington and Fareham will be re-numbered to service 5. The new timetable will operate every half an hour Monday to Saturdays and every hour on Sundays.
