Changes to services X4 and X5 from Sunday 26 May

From Sunday 26 May 2024, we will be changing the way our current X4/X5 services operate across the network, including the introduction of a service 5, operating between Gosport and Fareham. 

All services will have an introduction of a new timetable. You can view the timetables here: Timetables | First Bus

  • Introduction of new evening services between Fareham and Portsmouth, operating hourly Monday to Saturday's.
X5

The route section on service X5, which currently operates between Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Stubbington and Fareham will be re-numbered to service 5. The new timetable will operate every half an hour Monday to Saturdays and every hour on Sundays.

  • First Solent X5 will be extended to start and finish at the Hard Interchange in Portsmouth, operating the same route as the X4.
  • The X5 timetable will have an introduction of new evening services between Fareham and Portsmouth, operating hourly Monday to Saturday's.
