The Colchester Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday 16th March 2025.

Whilst the event is in progress, traffic management will be enforced to ensure the safety of all event participants:

The road closures begin at 8.45hrs and are scheduled to be lifted at/by 13:00hrs. 

Due to the location of the rolling road closures, ALL Colchester services will likely experience delays. To manage service disruption the following diversions will be implemented:

08:45 - 09:30 2A Towards Great Horkesley The 2A service will divert via the A134 Northern Approach. The following bus stops will not be served: Groves Close, Oaks Place, Tall Trees, Mile End Church, Link Close and Boxted Road.
09:00 - 10:30 2A   S1   S2   S3   S8   S9   87   102   X20  Towards Highwoods Between 09:00 - 10:30 - North Station Road, North Hill and Colchester High Street will be closed. Services heading towards Highwoods will divert via Balkerne Hill. Passengers will be able to board/disembark services at Osborne Street. Bus stops will not be served on St John's St, Crouch Street, Head Street, and High Street.
09:00 - 10:30 1A   2A   87   102 Towards East Hill Between 09:00 - 10:30 - North Station Road, North Hill and Colchester High Street will be closed. Services Services heading towards East Hill will divert via Stanwell Street, Southway, Madgalen Street, Hythe Hill, Hythe Station Road and Greenstead Road. Bus stops will not be served on St John's St, Crouch Street, Head Street, High Street, East Hill and Ipswich Road.

Some services may come to a rolling road closure between Horkesley, Highwoods and North Station. The road closures will be implemented for a maximum of 15 minutes. These closures may open earlier depending on how quickly sections of the race are completed.
