The Colne Community School & College

First Essex operates the 87 bus service which travels through Brightlingsea; a convenient route for students travelling from Colchester to and from school.

The service operates approximately every 20 minutes - Monday to Friday.

Annual*:

Valid 3rd September 2024 to 18th July 2025; providing travel on Service 87 between Colchester and Brightlingsea (Monday to Friday). *Please note. you will receive one ticket which will be valid for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Autumn Term: 3rd September 2024 to 20th December 2024

Spring Term: 6th January 2025 to 4th April 2025

Summer Term: Valid 22nd April 2025 to 18th July 2025

All prices exclude staff inset days, bank holidays, half-term breaks and school holidays.

If a student travels without a valid bus pass they will be asked to pay the on-bus fare with cash.

Service Changes from Sunday 5th January 2025

From Sunday 5th January 2025, we will be introducing changes to services across our Essex network.

The X20 service will continue to serve Great Dunmow throughout the day; as will the X30 service in the early morning and late evening.

621	Roxwell to Ingatestone	This service has been withdrawn and will no longer operate.

Service 31/331/332 | Mundon Road/Limebrook Way, Maldon | OVERNIGHT road closures

Mundon Road, Maldon is closed for overnight roadworks from Thursday 19th December to Sunday 22nd December 2024.

Mundon Road, Maldon will be closed to traffic from 20:00hrs and will re-open from 05:00hrs the next morning:

Harlow Temporary Bus Station from Sunday 1st December 2024

Harlow Bus Station will be closing on Saturday 30th November 2024 due to the next step in the redevelopment of Harlow Town Centre.

From Sunday 1st December 2024, a temporary bus station will be opened at Post Office Road car park.

However, some journeys will depart a few minutes earlier than they do currently. For punctuality - the Monday–Friday departures 17:10 and 18:10 from Old Harlow will not serve Princess Alexandra Hospital and will instead terminate at Harlow Bus Station. Service 417 – departing Harlow Bus Station will divert and serve Princess Alexandra Hospital.
