On Sunday 18th September 2022 the Iron Man 2022 event will be taking place in the Weymouth and East Dorset area.
This will affect our services as follows:
Services 4 & 503
We are unable to offer any bus services until after 2pm (this may possibly change if the roads re-open earlier)
Service 4 Outbound (after 2pm)
From the KIng's Statue the bus will turn left at traffic lights on to King Street. Straight over on to Swannery Bridge then right on to Weymouth Way. Then the 4th exit up to Manor Road Roundabout. Bus then takes 2nd exit, followed by 1st exit at Veasta Roundabout. Then the 2nd exit at Jurassic Rocks Roundabout and follows the road down until turning left on to Coombe Valley Road. Then continues route as normal towards Seven Acres Road.
Service 4 Inbound (up to 6pm) The same as above but in reverse.

Service 503 Outbound (after 2pm)
From the King's Statue the bus will turn left at the traffic lights on to King Street. Straight over on to Swannery Bridge then right on to Weymouth Way. Then the 4th exit up to Manor Road Roundabout. Bus then takes 2nd exit, followed by 1st exit at Veasta Roundabout. Then the 2nd exit at Jurassic Rocks Roundabout and follows the road down to Chalbury Corner Roundabout, taking the 2nd exit on to Preston Road, then then turns left at Overcombe Corner & continues route as normal towards Waterside.
Service 503 Inbound (up to 6pm)
The same as above but in reverse

Normal Route as far as the Clock on the Esplanade.
Then turn right on to King Street, then left on to Commercial Road,
then on to the King’s Statue.

Service X51
Outbound (09:11 & 11:11 departures ONLY)
Normal Route
Inbound (08:32 & 10:32 from Talbot Arms Uplyme ONLY)
Normal Route as far as the Clock on the Esplanade.
Then turns right on to King Street, then left on to Commercial Road,
then on to the King’s Statue.

X52 OUTBOUND *CLOSED TOP BUSES ONLY* (09:00 / 10:50 / 12:50 DEPARTURES ONLY)
Bus takes the X51 route as far as Monkton Park, & then at the Stadium Roundabout
bus then takes the 3rd exit on to the A35, and continues along the A35
until the Townsend Roundabout at Bere Regis.
Bus then takes the 2nd exit at Townsend Roundabout,
followed by the 2nd exit at Poole Hill roundabout, following the road around on to Rye Hill.
Bus then continues along that road until eventually
turning right in to Bovington Tank Museum.
Bus then continues route as normal towards Monkey World.
X52 INBOUND
Bus takes normal inbound route from Monkey World into Weymouth
as far a Chalbury Roundabout.
Bus then takes 2nd exit at Chalbury Roundabout on to Littlemoor Road,
Bus then goes straight over at next roundabout,
and then the 1st exit at Jurassic Rocks roundabout.
Bus then takes the 2nd exit at Veasta Roundabout, then 2nd exit again at Manor Roundabout.
Then 1st exit at Chafeys Roundabout until Swannery Bridge.
Bus then turns right on to Commercial Road and then on to the King’s Statue.
