We are introducing some improvements to our services across Somerset from Monday 30 January 2023. These include new evening buses on routes between Taunton & Wellington on route 22, Taunton & Minehead on route 28, Taunton & Bridgwater on route 21, Taunton & Chard on route 30, and on Taunton town’s route 1.
There’s never been a better time to ‘Bus It’ in Somerset, with new evening services, and fares capped at just £2 for a single journey in Somerset, and £1 for any single journey in the Taunton town zone.
Here’s a summary of our changes:

The 0720 from Taunton will run to Glastonbury Town Hall only. It is replaced between the Town Hall and Windmill Hill by an extended journey on the 75. The 0904 from Creech Heathfield will now start from Glastonbury at 0850. |

The 54 will run every 2 hours between Taunton, Somerton, and Yeovil, removing the need to change buses. The new timetable provides an earlier arrival into Yeovil plus a later departure in the evening in both directions. In Yeovil, buses will serve Thorne Lane, Larhkhill Road, Wessex Road, Elliots Drive, Coronation Avenue and Stiby Road, replacing the 53 that was withdrawn last year. |

The 0735 from Bridgwater will run 5 mins earlier and extend to Windmill Hill in Glastonbury. |

The 0856 from Glastonbury will now start in Street at 0904 – it is replaced between Glastonbury and Street by a new journey on the 29 leaving Glastonbury at 0850. The 1810 from Wells to Yeovil will now run at 1840. More buses will run between Somerton and Yeovil as the 54 will now run every 2 hours between Taunton and Yeovil. |

The X10 will be renumbered as the 4. There’s no change to the timetable but in Marnhull and Okeford Fitzpaine buses will always run in an anti-clockwise direction. |

No changes – the summer timetable is expected to commence in April. |
