Town Hill St Agnes will be closed from 10/10/22 to 21/10/22. This will only affect the U1A journeys form Truro to Perranporth/Newquay.
The following diversion will be in place for the duration:
Buses will run into St Agnes past the Railway Inn, where buses will be picking up from, then via Rosemundy, turn right up through Goonown and Goonbell. They will then turn left at the green shelter in Goonbell, down to the end, and right to join the B3285.

Quay St cannot be served as Boscawen St closed.
Customers are advised to wait at the Truro Museum for travel to Tregurra. Those wishing to travel to the hospital/college/Langarth, should wait at Victoria Square.

Wednesday late night shopping - Wednesday 27th November 14.30pm - 22.30pm
Services T1, T2, T3, U1, U1A, U1E:
The following bus stops will not be served: The museum and Boscawen street during these times.
Services will set passengers down at the bus stand before Truro Museum, Truro Court, then continue into St Austell Street to Trafalgar roundabout, into Truro bus station. The diversion will be the same in reverse.
U1 & U1E Chiverton Interchange
From Monday the 2nd of December to Friday the 20th of December, there will be a closure along Chiverton Interchange from hours of 19:00.
Wednesday nights throughout the closures won’t be installed until 22.00 for late night shopping in Truro.
This will affect the following journeys from Threemilestone:
To Newquay:
- 20:49 U1E
- 22:49 U1E
To Falmouth:
- 19:26 U1
- 20:27 U1E
- 21:27 U1E
- 22:27 U1E
These services will be diverting via Chacewater, Scorrier and Blackwater.
Please note that this may cause some delays.
T2 & 17: The Terrace, Albert Road and Trelyon Avenue, St Ives
From Monday the 09th of December to Friday the 13th of December, there will be a road closure along The Terrace, Albert Road and Trelyon Avenue, St Ives between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00.

The Penzance Christmas lights switch on: 17, 17A & Mousehole
The Penzance Christmas lights switch on will be taking place on the 30th of November between the hours of 09:30 and 20:00.
This will affect services 17, 17A and the Mousehole.
Buses will be diverting as follows:
The Mousehole
Penzance to Mousehole
Buses will turn Left at Longboat Inn and follow up to the top of the Causeway. They will then turn right and head towards the West Cornwall Hospital roundabout. Here they will turn Left and travel down Penalverne drive to First and Last Pub where they will resume their normal line of route.
Mousehole to Penzance
From the First and Last Pub, buses will turn left up Penalverne drive to West Cornwall Hospital. They will then turn right at the roundabout and travel down towards the top of the Causeway. Here they will turn left on to Taroveor Road and follow down to the Sea View Chippy, turn right on to Adelaide Station and continue back to bus Station.
17/17A Pendeen & Madron
Buses will divert via Ross bridge, Penzance Prom, Alexandra Road and Penalverne Drive in both directions.

Truro Festive Friday and Christmas Street Markets 2024.
Between Friday the 22nd of November and Saturday the 21st of December, there will be a number of closures around Truro due to Festive Friday and Truro Christmas Street Markets 2024.
They will take place at the following times:
- Friday 22nd November 2024 between 05:00 and 23:59
- Saturday 23rd November 2024 between 06:00 and 19:00
- Wednesday 27th November 2024 between 06:00 and 23:00
- Saturday 30th November 2024 between 06:00 and 19:00
- Wednesday 4th December 2024 between 06:00 and 23:00
- Saturday 7th December 2024 between 06:00 and 19:00
- Wednesday 11th December 2024 between 06:00 and 23:00
- Saturday 14th December 2024 between 06:00 and 19:00

During the above times, the following diversions will be in place:
Services T1, T2, T3, U1, U1A to & from Treliske, Threemilestone
Inbound from Rail Station,
Buses will drop off outside Museum then go to Victoria Square and back to Ferris Town. They will then turn right up past the Law Courts and take the back road passing the NCP car park to Trafalgar Roundabout, then into the Bus Station.
Outbound
Buses will go to Trafalgar Roundabout and turn left. They will then go along St Austell Street, passing the NCP car park, pass the Law Courts and turn left to go past the Museum and into Victoria Square. From here they will pick up outside Mallets and resume their normal line of route to the Rail Station.
Services U1/U1A to & from Falmouth
Inbound
From Lander Monument, buses will go down Lemon Street, turn right into Fairmantle Street, pass Iceland to the roundabout. They will then bear left onto Morlaix Avenue and turn left for the Bus station.
Outbound service will run as normal.

St Agnes Village Christmas Lights Switch: U1A
St Agnes Village Christmas Lights Switch on will be taking place on Sunday the 1st of December between 16:30 and 18:00.
This will affect the U1A.
Buses will be diverting as follows:
From Truro
From Sevenmilestone garage, buses will right divert via Goonbell to reach the coast road close to the Wheal Kitty turn. They will then turn right for Perranporth and resume their normal line of route.
From Newquay
Buses will turn left just prior to wheal Kitty turn and follow through Goonbell to Sevenmilestone garage, where they will resume their normal line of route.

Service U1, U1A & U1E: Cliff Road, Newquay.
From Monday the 9th of December to Wednesday the 11th of December, there will be a closure along Cliff Road, Newquay.
This will affect services U1 U1A U1EU1 and T3.
Buses will be diverting as follows:
Services U1, U1A & U1E
Buses will divert at Trenance Gardens up Trenance Road to access Mount Wise to the bus Station.
They will do the same in Reverse on their return journey.
Please note, this diversion will also apply to GoCornwall services: 25, 58, 85, 88 & 93.
Service T3
After Chester Road, buses will turn left down Hilgrove road past Newquay Zoo to Trenance Gardens, then turn right up Trenance Road to access Mount Wise to the bus Station.
They will do the same in Reverse on their return journey.
Please note, this diversion will also apply to GoCornwall services: 21, 56, 91, 92, 92S, 94 & 185.

Truro College Timetable Amendments
Starting 4th November, we’re making some important changes to the following routes to improve punctuality:

- 273
- 274
- 470
- 890
- 900
- L1
- L2
In addition to these improvements, the 200A service will be added, with support from Penwith College. This will enable college students to travel to St Ives without waiting for a later bus. This will be introduced on 4th November but as a PM journey only.

Transport for Cornwall partnership will be reinstating the monthly child bus pass
Following feedback from passengers, the Transport for Cornwall partnership will be reinstating the ability to purchase a monthly child bus pass from Sunday 6 October.
The cost of the pass will now be £65 and we hope to be able to keep the cost of the ticket at this price for the rest of the academic year.
Government funding for the bus fares pilot, introduced in April of 2022 , has meant we have been able to heavily subsidise more than 15 million bus journeys in the last 2.5 years and without this funding, passengers would have paid significantly more for their tickets. The funding has allowed us to also try new ticket options and prices, to understand the preference of bus passengers in Cornwall. It was always intended to increase the cost of tickets during the pilot and back to their market value as we near the end of the pilot.
While the decision to remove several ticketing options – including the child monthly pass - was based on data showing extremely low usage, we appreciate that this specific ticket has impacted on children who use bus services to travel to school and college, but are not eligible for home to school transport.
We remain in discussion with Government about the future funding of bus travel in Cornwall and await news of any future bus funding as part of the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement at the end of the month. The Government’s national £2 bus fares scheme for single journeys remains in place until the end of December.
