It doesn’t get more spectacular than a trip down to Cornwall and on the incredible Land’s End Coaster bus from Penzance to St. Ives. What’s more, this adventure couldn’t be easier too, with the train from the Midlands, North and Scotland on Cross Country Trains or from London on Great Western Railway straight into Penzance and onto the bus from outside the railway station! The scenery as the train approaches Penzance is wonderful, with a real sense of gathering momentum and occasion, as the coast approaches and the famous St. Michael’s Mount, medieval castle, reached by a causeway, visible from the left hand side of the carriage!

Land’s End is famous and gets a lot of plaudits for those travelling on the wonderful open top bus to St. Ives and rightly so! There’s an eclectic mix of things to see and do there and of course, it’s a funny feeling being literally at the tip of the UK.

As you hike along the cliffs, you may spot seals basking on the rocks below or even catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the waves. This really is the place to be folks!

Sennen is steeped in history, with roots that trace back to the ancient Celts. The village church, St. Sennen’s Church, dates back to the 15th century and is a testament to the area’s long-standing religious significance. Breakfast is lovely here – you can’t beat a smashed avocado and fried egg whilst overlooking the coast!
